August is over, and cannot mean anything else that we are going back to our official championships, for Live For Speed, which we will start from this first week of September, as with Assetto Corsa, but for this second simulator, there will be a short time yet to start with the official races.

In this article, we want to announce the LFS calendar, that will keep us busy until the end of year. So lets present directly the first championship:

Fórmulas Championship

It will be a cup where in each race, a different car will be used. We are starting with the little and treacherous kart MRT,  until we end with the great formula 1 BF1. There will be an specific ruleset that is available in the registration page.

Although there is still one race to compete in Formula Cup, but it is interesting to go presenting and explaining what this GTR Cup because as you probably have seen in the image, brings a novelty, which is the line drawn joker.

The joker is drawn that part of the circuit marked with yellow and red lines on the floor. This line may be slower than the original (such as photo) or the opposite, faster than the original. In qualifying, it will be forbidden to drive on the racing joker line. In the race, depending on each race, it will indicate how many times in inscriptions must go through the drawn joker compulsory. Also, it not allowed to use the joker drawn in the first 2 and last laps. (Example race 30 laps: Banned on laps 1/30, 2/30, 29/30 and 30/30). Failure to use the joker drawn entail penalty.

Another special feature of this GTR Cup is that you can only use a car every time. For example, if you use the FZR in the first race, you will not have it available for use in any of the others.

Otherwise, all other rules are the general rules set out in the regulations.

Now that LFS' 2016 league (Liga 2016) has ended, we are entering 2016 second half. We'll be doing 2 friendly races (pachangas), and after that, in July, we'll host the Demo League and Stig Cup.

Demo League (Lida Demo), as you may expect, is meant to allow everyone to participate in Cesav, and be able to see how we manage everything.

At the same time, for second year in a row, Stig Cup (Copa Stig) returns to our calendar. For people that does not know how it works, it consists in time trials rather than races, using a diferent layout and car each week. You have unlimited tries to set your best time, and final point scores are awarded at the end of the end of each week. Though this cup is meant to be a single driver against the chrono, we have a server available just in case some drivers want to do a friendly race/s on monday night..

Those 2 scheduled cups will fill our summer break. In September we'll resume our usual schedule of official races, included in 2016 season (Temporada 2016). Single Seater Cup (Copas Fórmula): 5 single seater cars, 5 races; GTR Cup (Copa GTR): using the GTR cars as the name suggests; Storm Cup (Copa Temporal) where the wind gusts are going to have a heavy impact.

This new championship is starting after the ending of the current preCup races.

The DTM Cup is part of the current season, among League 2012 (that was already held) and the Nipon Cup (that will take place right after the DTM Cup). As you know is the season results what determines your driver number for the next season.

This cup will sport 6 races and 3 cars will be used.

• Car selection: You can only use each car for 2 races, which means that you'll have to use FXR, XRR and FZR on 2 races each one. Choose wisely where to use each one.
• preQualifying: 1 lap per driver.
• Pit window: It is not allowed to stop on 4 first and last laps (unless you have to repair your car). If you stop out of the pit window that stops will not count to the total stops you've done.
• Pitt stops: 2 mandatory stops, with mandatory tire change on each one. There must be at least 1 lap between the two stops.
• Tires: Always use the same compound on all tires.

After the completion of a 58% of the championship (11 out of 19 races), the clasification go as follows:

1st Jose, doing a semi-perfect season, winning 5 of the 9 races he has took part of.

2nd Desmo, he did not race at the beggining of the championship, but after racing in 8 races he's a tough rival for Jose trying to get the leadership in the points charts.

3rd Redmaytals, strong driver, 9 races and 6 podiums.

Constructor championship.

1st 6ª A Fondo, they start to get away from te opponents.

2nd Mecahost Team Racing, is trying to keep the distance with Xspa and close the gap with 6ª A Fondo.

3rd XspaTM, working hard to get as much points as possible to keep Virtual Racing behind of them and to try to catch the teams ahead.

Introducing the Cesav Open Cup
